Here is a snapshot of what we're planning ...

The Arts, Heritage and the Environment come together through the performances and displays of local people including Tracey McKibbon’s Dance School and local musical talent.

The Myall Koala and Environmental Support Group will be giving away free saplings, to encourage locals to plant Koala-friendly natives, and the National Parks and Wildlife Service will be on hand to tell visitors about the wonderful trails open for bushwalking in our nearby Myall Lakes National Park.

At high tide, the Myall Lakes Aquatic Club will parade their vessels down the river, past the Festival area, joined by vessels from the Waterways Authority, Coast Guard, and the Karuah Aquatic Club.

In the afternoon, the band 'Finn' will be performing on stage. While the crowd are listening to great music and entertainment, don't forget to try some unique activities such as camel rides, bungee trampolining and even bumper boats!

Due to popular demand we've asked Newcastle Helicopters to come to the Witt Street Soccer oval for helicopter rides!

The Hawks Nest Tea Gardens Surf Lifesaving Club will be performing some River Rescue demonstrations, and the Primary School will be holding a Duck Race in the river, with fabulous prizes for the first duck past the post!

Emergency services will be showing off their skills in an entertaining raft building race, departing from the Tea Gardens Police Station slip and ending near the Services display.

Download the Painting by the Myall Poster! The Myall River Festival's one-day acquisitive competition for artists is on again this year. Bring your materials to the Festival Desk (near the Main Stage - from 8.00am) then set yourself up on the beautiful Myall River Waterfront and create a frameable piece (flexible medium - not sculpture or photography) that captures an aspect of the Myall. Registration Forms are available for download. A new youth art competition is also been organised by the Myall Coast Art Network: Abi Youth Art Prize Youth under the age of 16 years are invited to submit a work of art for submission towards a cash prize kindly donated by the Abigroup.

Focus on the Artists of the Myall Exhibition An Exhibition to Focus on the Artists of the Myall Coast. Our Exhibition will feature the work of three exciting local artists: Rod Anderson, Michael Pratt and new artist Rachael Andrews. Read about these impressive artists here.
