Program….2008 |
|
The Arts, Heritage and the Environment come together through the performances and displays of local people including Tracey McKibbon’s Dance School and The Tea Gardens School and Community Band.
The Myall Koala and Environmental Support Group will be giving away free saplings, to encourage locals to plant Koala-friendly natives, and the National Parks and Wildlife Service will be on hand to tell visitors about the wonderful trails open for bushwalking in our nearby Myall Lakes National Park.
The young people of the Myall area will be treated to a performance by Circus entertainers, followed by a Circus Workshop – a free opportunity to learn the tricks of the trade, held alongside the main stage.
At high tide, the Myall Lakes Aquatic Club will parade their vessels down the river, past the Festival area, joined by vessels from the Waterways Authority, Coast Guard, and the Karuah Aquatic Club.
In the afternoon, a live band will be performing on stage, with their mixture of jive, blues and country rock, sure to get the crowd swinging.
The Hawks Nest Tea Gardens Surf Lifesaving Club will be performing some River Rescue demonstrations, and the Primary School will be holding a Duck Race in the river, with fabulous prizes for the first duck past the post! |
