This year’s Myall River Festival will go ahead on Saturday 25^th October 2008; the last Saturday in October, starting at 9.00am.

 

The Festival is a family-friendly day, with a large variety of market stalls, stage entertainment, river activities, games and competitions for the kids, all taking place on the magical waterfront of Tea Gardens, beside the Myall River.

 

This year organizers are planning to include:

 

· CAMEL RIDES

a MOBILE ROCK CLIMBING WALL

· a DRAGON BOAT Blessing Ceremony

· a visit from a NEWCASTLE KNIGHTS player

· a Landscape PAINTING COMPETITION ($500!) more details

· a new ART EXHIBITION

· a second stage for live music

· new Circus Performers

· and the Soccer Ball Wizards!

 

The Festival will also feature it’s usual attractions such as:

 

· AQUATIC SAIL PAST (River Parade)

· InSTEP Linedancers Performance

· Tracey McKibbon’s Dance School display

· Surf Lifesaving Club RIVER RESCUE demonstrations

· DUCK RACE

· LIVE BAND on Main Stage from 12noon

· Jumping Castle and Blow-up SLIDE

· Vintage Car display

· Over 70 x MARKET STALLS

· Displays and giveaways

The Festival showcases the Tea Gardens / Hawks Nest community by involving nearly all our local groups and organisations, as well as many of our businesses. 

 

So bring you hat and sunscreen and bring the whole family!
